She is happily married for 13 years to a Designer at a Civil Engineering Firm in Oviedo, and is the mother of a 9 year old son and an 11 year old daughter. Terri's motto is "Life is Full!". Terri's philosophy is "What goes around comes around, so ALWAYS be nice!".
Jackie Ellis is the Executive Director of B.A.S.E. CAMP Children’s Cancer Foundation. As the parent of child with cancer she is intimately aware of the special needs of a child affected with cancer. Her daughter Simone was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the age of 9. Simone is now 21 years old and currently on b-iweekly chemotherapy.
Jackie became a volunteer for the B.A.S.E. Camp organization when she saw the remarkable change that they made in her daughter’s life through the once-a month activities that they provide for children and families in crisis with cancer.
With the life changing experience that Jackie saw take place in her daughter, Jackie is committed to the two-fold goal of B.A.S.E. Camp Children’s Foundation:
My name is Carine Aguiar. I am a senior at University of Central Florida majoring in Marketing with a minor in Mass Communications. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I love to travel. I began my work with B.A.S.E. Camp as a volunteer for a class project. My passion is to plan fun events for the B.A.S.E. Camp kids. I also can't wait for the cure for cancer!
Mike Rainaldi, my partner for exactly 10 years, was responsible for introducing me to B.A.S.E. Camp. Mike was a camper in Starlighters, the ancestor or B.A.S.E. Camp, and later chaperoned with B.C.. The disorder called Autoimmune Hepatitis ended his life in 2003.
Mike took me out with him to chaperone starting in 1992. The fond memories of my weekend outings with the B.A.S.E. Camp kids is etched in my brain. I thank Terri for her dedication to the group, which has produced so many wonderful experiences over the year. I offered to build a little website for B.A.S.E. Camp in the late 90's. My knowledge of all things web site was budding, and I was eager to learn. The construction, maintenance, and subsequent recreations of the site have given me knowledge and experience to build sites for other people as well. I now live in Austin Texas, so I no longer chaperone the weekend outings, but I still donate production of the website for B.A.S.E. Camp. For more about me, navigate the web to 'http://mooboo.net'.
